We started heading towards Las Vegas after our hike in the Grand Canyon. We were all excited to check out Vegas but didn't have the energy to do much of anything after hiking all morning. We went to a buffet, ate as much as we possibly could, walked around for a few hours, and slept. Justin made us stay at the buffet and eat real slow, just to make sure he got his moneys worth. We weren't too impressed with Vegas so woke up in the morning and went straight to the Hoover Dam. We wanted to take the hard hat tour, but it only ran twice a day. We had to burn about 3 hours waiting for our tour, so we learned just about everything they had in the museum. The tour took us all over, from the pipes that carried all the water, to the access ports on the face of the dam. We had this bitter guide doing his last tour for the day, but he was bitter in a funny way. He was a great guide. We left that night, back towards Flagstaff.
