The train to Bangkok was a sleeper, aaahhh. Everyone got their own
bed. If only all the transports were that comfortable. We stayed in
the Khao San district of Banglamphu. The cab drivers tried to tell us the
Grand Palace and Wat Pho were closed for a holiday, dirty liars. There was a big festival with snake
charmers and carny-type folks all about. We missed out on the Grand
Palace because it's required that you have pants to visit. So we went to
Wat Pho, with the largest Buddha in Bangkok. The day was Matt Shroyers
birthday, so we called up a friend that lives in the city. He took us out
for a night on the town, off the normal tourist trail. We got up after One
night in Bangkok, not necessarily any more humble, and left for Malaysia.
Hotels in KL were too expensive, so we opted to stay up through the night for
our layover leaving the ext morning, so we ran around KL until we were loopy
tired and rode the train back to the airport and passed out on
benches.
